If you have never downloaded a program before, read everything before you download this chat program. Print the page if you like... it saves you having to come back here once you've installed the program.
1. Click here to download MS Chat 2.5.
2.You will be asked if you want to "Open/Run from Current Location" or "Save file to disk". Select "Open" and click "OK".
3. When the download is complete, the program will ask you if you want to begin the installation. click the "Yes" button. Don't worry... it's virus free. From there, follow the instructions in the window. And don't remember the golden computer rule: Read ALL instructions before proceeding. :-)
Once you have completed installing the program, you will have to restart your computer so that the program can finish installing. (update shortcuts, DLL's etc... it does that by itself.)
When you start MS Chat 2.5 for the first time, you may notice that there are some panels that pop up saying "JohnDoe is using a character you don't have, click here to download..." That is because you still have to make an adjustment to achieve the full effect.
1. Open the View menu, then click "Options..."
2. Click the tab titled "Comic Mode"
3. Click the two boxes: "Autodownload new comic characters" and "Autodownload new backgrounds"
4. Click "OK"
